Is it better to go with a seasoned Realestate person who may have muti listings or a new person who is HUNGRY for the sale?

I would try a newer agent that doesn’t have a lot of listings. They will spend more time on your listing than a "seasoned" realtor would. Why list with someone that has 100 listings when you can list with someone that has five? It just makes sense!

Also how many hours do you work each week.

Generally there is no salary for a real estate agent. Their income is based solely on commission.

A good agent works a minimum of 40 hours a week, but usually many more than that when business is good. You need to be available whenever your clients want you.

Find out what area you want to live in. Then hope in your car and drive around the area. Look for signs in front of houses.

Agents are a dime a dozen. If you chose one ask for recent referrals. Also go with one that is an area specialist.

There might be some that are for sale by owner. That person is trying to save money.

I had previously posted a question reguarding a home purchase. Well since then I called the corporate office of the home builder to atleast get some clarification on why they were stealing everyones equity. Well to make a long story short i left a message complaining a bit and in the message I gave an example of how aco-worker of my wife’s is looking at purchasing a home for substantially lower than what a neighbor of ours paid. Now I know you already told me that they can sell houses for whatever they want, well thats all good and well but that co-worker went back to the realestate agent that sits in the model home in the neighborhood to discuss his future purchase of said home she intern informs him that he will not be able to get the previously discussed price because " (MY NAME INSERTED HERE) complained to said home builder and now they want full price for it" . Do I have legal recourse for them stating my name to this guy as the reason.

You mean slander. Libel is if they print it. But the answer is no, it’s not slander.

As long as what they told the person is true, which you just said it is, then it is not slander. You did call and complain about it. Now the builder wants full price. So everything is true, so no slander.

As far as it being ethical or professional, it sure doesn’t sound that way. But it also doesn’t sound lilke anything you can sue them over or anything. But if you want to try, go for it. My specialty is criminal law, not civil. Let us know how it works out.

Because this time, the decline in the dollar is accompanied by a simutaneous credit cruch and increased risk. Any increase in foreign demand for RE assets that is caused by the lower value of the dollar is being trumped by reduced demand and increased supply from lower credit availability and higher volatility.

Do I, the buyer, have to pay out of pocket for the realtors commission or is it included in the selling price? Can I place a bid on a home for sale buy a realtor without using a realtor? Any other information along these line would be useful too.

You don’t have to pay a Buyer Agent. We gat paid from the seller’s Agent. Yes, you can put a bid in without an agent but then the seller’s Agent gets the whole comm. The sellers agent owes you nothing. Your Buyer Agent owes you full fiduciary duties. They will negotiate for you and advise and protect your interests for nothing out of your pocket. I found a house that I would like to buy. The couple who owns it is going through a realtor to sell it. Is it possible to work with the owners instead so that the costly closing costs won’t be a problem?

The house I’m wanting to buy is $40,000. (I live in rural Indiana). What would the closing costs be?

If I go through the realtor to buy this house, can I get the home loan from the bank of my choice or will I need to use the realtors financing?

This will be my first home purchase and I know nothing about realtors. All help is much appreciated.

the Realtor has nothing to do with closing costs or where you get your funding from, the realtor gets paid a 3% comission wich is paid from the seller, the closing costs all depend on your loan officer thery make the fees now there are some fees thaey cant change like apprasial, title,doc prep, but there are fees they can lower such as loan origination,mortgage broker fee,processing fee, on a loan amount that small i would say your costs will be under 2,500 and they will most likley be rolled into the loan and not have to come out of your pocket.good luck and congrats on the new house

I’m not really looking for the ones that sell expensive homes. I’m looking for a major realtor that sells average homes and lists rentals also. On the east coast, RE/MAX is like that.

For the most part, the company name doesn’t mean anything – every company has their good agents and lousy ones. What good does it do you if someone tells you the name of a good company, but you end up with a lousy agent from that company. Get recommendations from friends, family, and co-workers…
