Going Brunette to blonde?

Posted on February 25th, 2010 by admin in blog realestate | 7 Comments »

This is round aboout the colour of my hair. http://weblogs.newsday.com/realestate/blog/tyra.JPG
I have pale skin ( never in the sun too much) and i want to go blonde. i have always thought abou going blonde and thought abut it for 4 month now. i only want to go a sandy blond with some strawbery highlights.. but what color would you say i should go? and how should i convince my parents.. im 15?
how often should i touch up the roots?

if you have pale skin you would wash out when your hair is blonde.i know from experience. if you want to go blonde i would do a dark blonde. and i would wait a few years only because i started dyeing my hair young and now im still having to dye it.. and i wish i never started. make sure its really what you want first. you could also have your mom do semi permanent which will wash out after 28 washes to see how it looks and if she doesn’t want you to dye it permanent then she may say yes to that. good luck and hoped i helped.

Well do what you want to do it’s your hair but if your not sure stick to your original hair colour. If you die your hair blonde and don’t like it you can always die it back to it’s original colour.

To convince your parents say that you will pay for the treatment and dye e.t.c

I am a currently a hair dresser and have seen many girls go from a brunette to a blonde. I have seen it work very well and have seen girls cry after…of course not seeing you personally is hard to judge but since you have pale skin i am guessing it might drain you out. In the end its only hair. i would GO FOR IT. You always can change it back. As far as the parents go I would aim for the key points its only hair and if you go to the right person it will look natural. Its not like youre dying it bright blue right?? hope it works out

Im 15-Want to go blond-parents said no =[
i think if you have pale skin you should go for a warmer blond if you go bleach you’ll look washed out, also this might convince your parents because if you go "I wanna go bleach blond" they’ll immediately think no but if you go I wanna go chocolate blond they might say yes.

before you ask to go blond think, all the celebritys are going brunette.also if you die your hair you will constantly have to keep up with your roots.also the bleach could damage your hair.if your still sure you want to go blond tell your parents that you feel like it would boost your confidence level.if that doesnt work tell tham that you will pay for it.that work when i wanted purpleish highlights

I know this wasnt your question, but honestly i would stay with what you have! I absoloutley love that colour, i am also 15 and pale-ish and would love to have the colour hair that you have!!

but anyways if you reallly really want to go blonde then start off quite dark and go lighter and lighter untill you get the colour you want. just to make sure your going to like it and it wont be a dramatic change.

as for convincing your parents, they will either let you or they wont

so if they say no, maybe you could start off with just a few blonde highlights or something small, so they could maybe warm up to the idea of you having blonde hair. if you comprimise with them, they may just let you go the whole way eventually :)

remember, you dont want to looked washed out, so stay fairly dark, dont go completely bleached blonde!!!

good luck, and i hope you like it in the end! :)
