How many will be disappointed when Obama’s plan doesn’t keep them from foreclosure?
http://weblogs.sun-sentinel.com/business/realestate/housekeys/blog/2009/02/president_obamas_75_billion_fo_1.html Where I live, (not article area) it is worse than in article. People bought homes at inflated prices and then the homes went way down in value. This plan has so many stipulations. To qualify, you cannot owe more than 105% loan to value. Most homes are way over that. You also have to have a loan with Freddie or Frannie. There is also a cap on the amount and other stipulations. What do you think? I am not complaining at all, I was just under the impression from others that they were going to get help
Only the desperate and disillusioned will be disappointed when the plan fails. The rest of us will owe you all a big ‘I TOLD YOU SO!".

People should not have bought homes they couldn’t afford. Woe be upon them, that they have to live with family or friends or even in a homeless shelter!

Hanging out rent free for half a year. I wish I had it so bad. They should have save up for a security deposit on a nice apartment by now.

Not sure why people think they "deserve" a house they can’t afford!

We need to change our lifestyle. Americans, and I am including myself, are so materialistic, that when something horrible happens, they begin to change their lives thinking it will all be okay in the speed of light.
And as soon as everything is okay, they will go back to being materialistic. Its ridiculous and embarrassing.

It wont bother me as our house is bought and paid for! I dont feel sorry for the ones that chose NOT to read the small print and were living beyond their means!!… I feel sorry for the ones that have kept up with their mortgages, making their payments on time and the banks have either raised them or decided to foreclose on them…I have no compassion for the ones that got themselves into something they knew ahead of time they couldn’t pay for it!!
