Reo properties home: What are REO Properties ?
An REO (Real Estate Owned) is a property that goes back to the mortgage company after an unsuccessful foreclosure auction. You see, most foreclosure real estate auctions do not even result in bids. After all, if there was enough equity in the property to satisfy the loan, the owner would have probably sold the reo property and paid off the bank. That is why the property ends up at a foreclosure or trustee sale.
Since what is owed to the bank is almost always more than what the property is worth, very few foreclosure auctions result in a successful sale. Then the property “reverts” to the bank. It becomes an REO, or “real estate owned” property

Yes some of the tricks that they advertise are not updated to fit nowadays market. Such as an assumable mortgage or taking over an HUD. But as far as the total knowledge of the subject …think of it as taking a home course in a subject. There is a lot of material to read and go through. You must be willing to study it and then apply it to the market that you are in. They make it sound as if you buy the book ..then it jumps up and starts making you money. As we all know, nothing worth having has ever come easy.

There a few ways of doing so:
1) Ask people you know of anything for sale.
2) Go online and search for properties "For Sale By Owner" (FSOB). There are several good sites where owners list their homes/property without the use of real estate agents.
how do i know if i am black listed from a realestate?
About 10 years ago now, when i was 18 i rent a property with a friend and i ended up moving out and took my name off the lease and a few days later my ex flatmate destroyed the unit.. I just wanted to know if i can find out if my name was black listed?
There is no "blacklist" Check your credit report, if your name was not removed they may have filed a judgement against you for damages etc….
