Is there any law that will restrict the brokers asking huge brokerages while dealing Real Estates?

I am tenant in Pune (india) suffering from brokers. Every 11 months after finishing the contract they ask for Heavy brokerage which is nearly 2 months rented amount. Its very hard for middle class people to bear such heavy amounts. There should be some maximum limits on the brokerage. Brokers are just getting rich giants eating poor tenant’s amount.

No limits today. /

I don’t think there are any laws regarding this…

Indian real estate brokerage is a pretty unstructured domain as of now…

What you can do is use internet…there are plenty of sites that allow you to post your requirements, or search property…the catch is that most of the properties you find in these portals are posted by Agents only…

There are no laws governing real estate brokers.
Brokers are earning their bread and butter from you.
Today the max. limit itself is 2 months rent.
