What can a realty agent in Boston (or specifically Allston) expect to make monthly?

I need at least $900 dollars a month to live decently. Is that realistic in this economy?

of course; if you become an exclusive buyer’s agent.

and stay away from NAR

realtors work on commission not a paycheck so if you have a good bunch of friends and they need homes you could make a good living but like i said they earn commissions and that is how they are paid

In a city like Boston, a mediocre to bad real estate agent should make 900 bucks a month. Some months will be 3k, some months will be nothing, so if you aren’t good at budgeting, I wouldn’t recommend it, otherwise, give it a shot.
